Daily Prayer and Scripture

Anglicans have long used the Daily Office, a rhythm of morning and evening prayer shaped by Scripture and the Book of Common Prayer. This practice helps Christians receive God's Word, pray with the wider Church, and order everyday life around Jesus.

The 2019 Daily Office lectionary guides readers through most of the Bible over a two-year cycle. You may begin with Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, or simply one reading each day. Start simply and allow the rhythm of Scripture and prayer to grow over time.
