What We Believe

Rooted in ancient church tradition, we anchor ourselves in Scripture and believe it is inspired and authoritative. We receive the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds to be accurate summaries of the Christian Faith, affirm the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, and use the 2019 Anglican Book of Common Prayer as a daily resource that keeps us connected to God, one another, and Jesus' mission in the world.

Scripture

We receive the Old and New Testaments as God's written Word and the authoritative standard for what Christians believe and how we are called to live.

Triune God

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created all things, sustains all things, and calls humanity to know, worship, and enjoy him.

Jesus and the Gospel

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, and will come again. Salvation is God's gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gives life, leads people to faith in Jesus, forms Christians in holiness, equips the Church for ministry, and empowers God's people to bear witness to the gospel.

Creeds

We affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of Scripture and the historic Christian faith. We regularly confess these truths together in worship.

Sacraments

We practice the sacraments Christ gave to his Church. In Baptism, Christians are joined to Christ and received into God's covenant family. In Holy Communion, the Church remembers and proclaims Christ's saving death, receives his grace, and is nourished as his people.

Church and Mission

Jesus sends his Church to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, worship God, care for one another, pursue holiness, serve neighbors, and bear witness to God's kingdom.
